Okay I know! Should be posting some of my own work soon, but I got to give you another recommendation first. Animation Tag Attack is an idea started by my good friend Christen Bach and it's basically about doing a piece of animation and passing it on for another to continue the story.
Second episode is out today and is done by Mads Juul
Buy this game, Machinarium. I'm currently playing it and it's totally worth the penny. Funny characters, sweet story and good puzzles. If you're into adventure games this is a must have!
Visit the homepage for downloading the game or trying the demo
So go see the film I worked on, well this is if you're in Denmark. The name of it is "Æblet og Ormen" (Apple & Worm). About the process I can tell you that it's a 2D animated film, all of the picture is hand-drawn, by with the use of Wacom tablets and a program called Tv-Paint
Storyline:
The film is about a very vain apple hanging from a tree full of shallow apples. All living a life of trying to reach perfection, which means having the perfect red color. Torben (the main character) gets a worm and is forces out of the tree and on a involuntary "road trip" around the garden. Together with his friend an apple that looks like a pear, an singing cherry and his new unwanted companion the worm.
Here's some clips (sorry only Danish voicing has been released so far)
Go watch this funny film and support Danish animation!
Sometimes it doesn't take an amazing efforts to make an old thing seem all fresh again. The grayscale Rubik cube is a way of adding to the difficulty level of an old game, simple idea great effect....too bad all those people really good at this game memorized their last three hundred moves and just go auto-piloting through them without noticing the colors at all. Still it's a stylish make-over though.
...is without a doubt great for any artist. To bad my stressed life often keeps me from going to classes, especially since we have an amazing class just outside Copenhagen every Monday.
Here's a few of my sketches from last time I went.
Serving mainly as a reminder to myself, should you be inspired to participate in these classes go to this homepage (it's in Danish, since the classes is in CPH).
Here's some great cover songs that I fund. Personally I like when bands add their own sound to the song they're covering, you know change it a bit and not just copying.
This jazzy and very dark hip-hop is great easy listening for while working or if you need to concentrate but still feel like having some music on. Funny fact one of the band members, Peder Pedersen, has actually been an successful comedian with his Danish comedy act "Gramsespektrum".
Here's three samples from the record "tracks from the darkside"
So I went to the Copenhagen SketchCrawl this weekend and here's my result. We sketched at the National Museum and I drew some different artifacts from the exhibitions.
